Yangpyeong      
Bass, Gangjunchi, Keuri, Soragi, etc. ....   

Around Yang pyeong, you can catch mainly Bass, Gangjunch, Keuri, Sogari and so on by lure and fly fishing. Casting on the shore Yang pyeong side is more productive. It is easy to access to the fishing spots because transportation from Seoul is fast and moving to other spots along the cemented shore is easy. This area is recommendable for beginners of lure fishing and bassing. Recently, many people enjoy fishing Bass and Gangjunchi even in winter season. It takes aprox.1 and half hours by car from Seoul.

The spawning time of Gangjunchi and other species around Yang pyeong daekyo (big bridge) are earlier than around Cheong pyeong daekyo, and so fishing  begins around May and Gangjuchi bite actively in June.

Good spots for Bass

The good spots for bass are easy to approach and fishing is convenient because downtown of Yang pyeong is very near.

Upper part of north shore Yang pyeong daekyo toward Gaso :

The bottom of the river falls about 6 ~ 7 meters deep within about 2 meters from the edge of the river. So, the rise of water temperature is relatively slow on this spot. The first fishing time is around early April, to hit some bass.

Galsan gongwon (park) :

Galsan gongwon (park) is located at upper reach of north shore of the river, that is good for family picnic. The bottom is rocky and the lures of interest are worms and minnows. Reeling to activate lures hitting the rocks seems good to attract bass.

South shore on opposite side of Galsan gongwon :

It is cliffy bottom area.covered with silt. Therefore, you can effectively retrieve slowly without losing lures. Bass begins bites from end of March.

Yangkeun daekyo (big bridge) :

The spots for bass on the left and right side of the bridge are so easy to access that beginners also like to hit. There are lots of good spots spread within this area ,so you do not need to stay fishing on a spot long time.  Brownish worms are effective. Since the current runs quite fast, paddle types that make the wave and noise seem to interest bass. Lizard types are also sucked often.

North shore between Yangkeun daekyo and Yang pyeong daekyo :

There is a riverside road to facilitate access to spots. It is a rocky bluffs area. On this spot, retrieve and stop is the effective skill.

South shore between Yangkeun daekyo and Yang pyeong daekyo :

It is the good spot that holds plenty of bait fish of bass,  quite widely stretched including the area of by-channel nearby. The mortal weapon is spinner baits. The spots on by-channel are deep and its bottom is covered with rock piles and other obstruction therefore, lunkers are expected. ...//
