Gun nam myeon, Yeoncheon gun

Keuri, Pirami, etc. ...

White kyo (bridge) has been reputed as one of the best fishing spots for Kyeonji fishing(Korean traditional bait fishing). This bridge is installed at the upper reach of Imjin gang near North Korea. You can catch lots of Keuri on lure fishing. About ten years ago, a lucky fisher catched the biggest Sogari 62.1cm long at this spot, which is still unbroken record. Recently They catch many Nuchi (steed barbels) using big spoon lures, in April.

In summer, there are so many  tents that fishing should be done around dawn and dusk. The river is wide and so abundant in fish that you can catch many in almost every outings.

Gun nam Kyeonji fishing spots:

The fishing spots are found at upper part of White kyo and around the rapids more upward. Kyeonji fishing is popular on this spot. Around rapids, big Pirami and lunker(?) Keuri come up well on fly fishing.

Rapids at Namkye ri :

The rapids are quite shallow and Kyeonji fishing is popular but fly fishing is far better, catching plenty of Pirami and Keuri.

Rotten pool and Mapo kyo (bridge) :

It was the famous fishing spot for Sogari on lure fishing, in the past. Now, such a reputaion was gone with almost all the Sogari because the water of Hantan gang (river) is stained too much. Nevertheless, Nuchi fishing is still very poular in spring, and fly fishing is good for Keuri and Pirami and so on. ...//
