Fishing is the skill to lure and catch fish using their habit to eat and behavior. Fishing skills that lure fish dropping baits on hooks to where fish are schooling to hook them when they bite seem to be intellectual. Moreover, in Euneo(sweet smelt) fishing for example, the skill of men using the habit of Euneo who kicks off by her body the fish who wish to enter into her domiciliation seems to be much more intellectual.. They put another Euneo alive hooked at the end of line with additional hooks at the end of short lines extended from the caudal fin and or belly into the water and control them by fishing rods about 7 ~ 10 meters long to approach very closely to domiciliation of the object fish. When the object fish kick the invader by body, he would be hooked on the additional hooks extended from invader's body. Considering such a finesse skill, we should say that fishing is already a skill of art.

From the primitive ages, men have been fishing to eat them. And they needed to catch more fish, according to increased population. Naturally, they invented more effective skills to catch fish with large quantity. On the other hand, the skills of fishing by fishing rods that bring relatively poor yield are no more the means of fishing for living of commercial fishers. They usually use the fishing nets instead of fishing rods and hooks except some particular species when they fish for living.

It has been a long time that fishing rods had abandoned the position as the main means of fishers' living.  Instead, fishing by rods and hooks became a philosophic and intellectual sport that has influence on body and soul of men, through which men can breathe Mother Nature more widely and deeply with intermediation of fish. Now, nobody considers that anglers are fishing to eat and sell fish for their living. While People recognize well the difference between anglers and fishers as job, we find very often the anglers who confuse themselves as commercial fishers.  

Men who have a but to catch as many fish as possible for selling or eating the meat, they should not use the fishing rods that are the fishing tackle with a poor productivity. There are already too many kinds of  mass fishery.  For commercial fishing, fishing rods are merely the idiots' toy.  I hope that anglers, beginners and candidates would not fall into the avarice on fish without any particular purpose, and that they would no more dream on mass capture by fishing rods that are poor in productivity.

Fishing tackle has become a grace treasury of mankind since it had taken off its role for men's living. And the present trend to develop the skills applied on fishing tackle is for  improving the technics to talk with fish more exquisitely through the thrills they provide to anglers from the end of thinner lines on the lightest rods. Today, the fine fishing skills are the sublimation of human spirit that wishes to see wider world and hear the sound coming from Nature exceeding the limit of human understanding, through the other many existances in the world, especially through the fish world.  Men should use such a fine skill in a righteous way.

It is not so easy to meet fish on your rods. You would be rewarded when you study and think of fish more and more. If you would finish the game with fish by killing them whom you met after long trace and study, your fishing and time you spent for fishing and fish will totally be meaningless. Fish are the intermediate who push you to upgrade yourselves as the members of wider world than human one. And they are your valuable game partners who have right to be treated fairly after you won the game. Without them, no more game ! You had better release them for your next games.

Games with fish today will flourish your lives. And the released fish will be the ancestors of the game partners of our next generation. They will flourish a clean and healthy world of our children. We have the duty to conserve the fishing that makes us good and the environment forever. Fishing is the eagerness of men to come back to Mother Nature who is their origin. ...//
