Hweng seong gun
 Keokji, Keuri, Pirami, ...

This river runs through Hweng seong gun, Yeoju gun and finally irrigates Namhan gang. At the upper part of the river near Hweng seong, you have many good fishing spots for lure and fly fishing. The main species are Keokji, Keuri and Pirami. In the summer, there are many tents in this area because the surrounding along the river is extremly beautiful and it is relatively near from Seoul. Anglers who carry the fly rods of 2~3 weight would surely be satisfied with many fish and scenery. It takes aprox. 2 hours by car from Seoul.    (PHOTO:Ganhyeon yuwonji -resort area - on Seomgang) 

Subaek hapsu :

This spot has many good camping sites and wide sandy beach. Almost all kinds of fishing are available there and species are of variety. You will meet always some bait fishers for Bung eo (prussian carp) on the shore.

Subaek bo(barrier) :

The fishing spot is about 300 meters long around Subaek kyo(bridge) in front of Subaek ri village. The bottom of this area has rocks scatteredly and many fish are ambushed under the shade of rocks. About 1 km downward, Gungcheon yuwonji (resort area) is located.

Sakimak bo(barrier) :

Within this area, the camping ground and the space for dabbing in water are prepared well and fishing area is spread about 60 meters long. The water is not deep but you would lose some lures due to the rocky bottom. The fishing spots are not plenty but lots of Keokji and Megui, sometimes, bite.

Budong kyo at Budong ri :

The width of the river stretches up to 100 meters at this spot. You will find many bait fishers who cast toward the opposite mountain from the bank, saying that the main species are Megui mostly and terrapins. Megui are coming up well on lure fishing, too.

In front of the Engineering Corps at Galpung ri :

The engineering corps is located on the opposite side to the firing range in front of Galpung ri village. The river flowing in front of the corps provides the good fishing spots about 120 meters long between the gate of the corps to the end of it. You can hoist there mostly Sogari on lure fishing. This is the favorite spot of lure fishers who live near.

Chuleong dari (flying bridge) :

Chuleong dari(flying bridge) was destroyed and what you will find is the ruine only. The water around there is so deep that almost all fishing are good.  The best spot to recommand is around the water storage of pumping up house. The main species are Sogari and Megui.

The back of Hwengseong high school :
