 Sinrim myon, Wonju si
Keokji. Song eo, Pirami, Galkyeoni, ....
This river is a part of Jucheon gang. People call a part of Jucheon gang that flows through Seomani village, Song kye ri, Sin rim myeon as [Seomani gang]. The upper part of the river near Anheung ~ Gangrim is extremely beautiful and fishing is also very good there but the entrance is differ from that of the rest of the river. The road that goes along with most of the part of the river through the beautiful forests is also recommendable for driving. On the way of driving, you may stop on a shore and catch some Keokji, Pirami and Galkyeoni at several castings. About 2 and half hours' drive from Seoul. (PHOTO: View of lower section of Docheon kyo)

In front of the Homestay :
 The photo shows the flow in front of the homestay described on the map. Several years ago, this river was really isolated and it was not so easy to get to due to the rough road. Now, with the paved road, there are already many stores, restaurants and homestays under the forests of almost all the crooks of the river. We really hope they would not pollute the river.
As you see on the photo, the river within this area has the bottom covered with rocks and bigger ones on the flow, surrounded with pine forest.

You can hoist some big Keokji in several castings on spinners. Since the water is shallow and due to rocky bottom, you would lose some lures. Fishing is continuously good to the fish farm at lower stretch of the river.
Hapsumeuri (confluence) :
A trout farm within this area was once flooded and the trouts escaped were almost crowded in every pools and rapids of the river, making the people mad. The space suitable for camping is spread widely. The good spots for bait fishing around the opposite bluffs are also good for both lure and fly fishing. Species are Sogari, Keokji. And you would hook a wild trout sometimes, if you would be lucky.
Dugak kyo, Dusan kyo :
There is a sandy beach spread under the pine forest like a folding screen on the opposite shore of Dugak kyo. On the beach, any kinds of fishing is available and it is crowded with fishers, in summer. Forest and sandy beach are continued toward the upper stretch over Dugak kyo, too. The road to those spots are so rough that many fishers do not try to visit there frequently. but all kinds of fishings are good and many Keokji bite and Megui, sometimes, on those spots. Moreover, 'no fish' sometimes doesn't matter on the spots surrounded with such a good scenery.
How to get there :
Take Yeongdong express way and change to Joong ang express way until you get out at Sinrim I.C.. And take the road #402 toward Yeongwol and drive up the pass about 12 km to arrive at Hwangdun. Turn to the left at the forked street where Hwangdun middle school, Post office and super market are located, before passing over the bridge, and go to the upper part of the river up to Seong an kyo(bridge). ...//
