Bang san myeon, Yang gu gun
Almost all species

This is a big lake made by Hwacheon dam. Later, Pyeong hwa eui dam was installed on its upper stream. The big lake has a wide surface and many valleys, where it nourishes a lot of species and fish. It has been famous as one of the best fishing spots of Sogari and recently, the population of Bass is increasing visibly. One of Korean bass tournaments is regularly held on this lake. This lake irrigates Chuncheon ho. It takes aporx.3 and half hours from Seoul.
You do not have many spots suitable for fly fishing by wading or bank fishing on Paro ho, except fly fishing on boat. Lure fishers who seek for Sogari or bass usually move to the spots by motor boats because it is too hard to move the spots by car. Some points are not available to access by car.

Some important spots for Sogari and bass are, as marked on the map, Guman ri ferry, Yong ho ri area,  Daechu namu gol (jujube hamlet), around cheoltap (pylon) of Moil ri, Doil , Beob seong gol, Around byeol jang (summer house) at Sang muryong ri, Golbang cheon (There are numerous Pirami in the stream), Bang cheon ri (Right side of Jeol gol), Wol myeong ri, Taesan ri, Yeonai gol (lovers' hamlet), Daram jwi seom (squirrel island), Dong chon ri, Gongsu ri, Godae ri, Sang muryong r and so on. Except some spots, you can reach most of them by car but, it is more effective to move by motor boat if you want to hit various spots.

In most of the effluents, there are numerous Pirami and Galkyeoni good for fly fishing but you can find almost no fly fisher there maybe due to the reputation of the lake difficult of hitting various spots. But, in the effluents, there are many good spots for wading too.

The main species on lure fishing on Paro ho has been Sogari but recently the bass tournements are held frequently as the population of bass became denser.  Many spots of Sogari hold also bass. On this lake, lure fishers use mostly various kinds of worms instead of spoon lures. Sometimes, worms for Sogari get bass quite well.
Most of the points on Paro ho are made on the slopes under the water with rocks fallen down from the mountain. Stepping on the irregular rocky base of the fast slope, you should pay a keen attention on your step for avoiding from falling down to the lake. It is extremely dangerous to lose your step in the deep area.

You need to be accompanied by the experts on this lake when you move to other spots by boat because the boat can be overturned and anglers on boat could be missing. Such accidents happen sometimes by the unskilled drive or being trapped by the wasted nets under the water.  For the regular anglers, the safest way is to arrive at a point and fish there all the time and withdraw.

The various points fluctuates in the number of hits on Sogari depending on the climate, especially influenced seriously by the wind. Moreover, on most of the good points, you will find many long stationary nets under the water that bother or enable your castings.

In spite of some risks on fishing this vast lake, many enthusiastes for Paro ho lose their souls there because this lake produces many trophy fish and no 'no fish' on almost all outings.

The best spots for lure and fly fishers who do not like to risk themselves  and  prefer the points to access by car are Guman ri ferry, Yon ho ri, Gan dong ri, Dong chon ri etc..
