Kirin myeon, Inje gun
Trout, Sogari, Galkyeoni, ...  

Streams flow through high mountain area in East massifs. It is one of the good paces for rafting. It is an extremely clear water taking its rise from Odae san and runs through really beautiful valleys, where you can find many good places for camping. It irrigates east of Soyang ho. Good fishing spots  for lure and fly fishers are spread all over the valleys where this snake river runs through. For an example, Hapgang area near Inje eup is famous for big Sogari. It takes aprox. 3 and half hours by car from Seoul .(PHOTO : Pi ah si valley of Narincheon valley)

Hapgang kyo ~ Piasi Kyegok (Valley) :

 A few years ago, fishers could catch the Sogari of 30 ~ 45 cm long frequently within this area . The bottoms of the stream within this area are covered with gravels and rocks that were dropped from the road which is suitable for the ambush of sogari. But this stream is relatively narrow and the water level was not steady enough to protect the fish against the holocaust of the illegal overfish. As a result of governmental abandonment, the population of fish seems to be decreased visibly. But you can still hoist some Sogari, Keokji and other game fish of lure fishing. Especially, fishing is much better after the rain.

Norumok hyukeso (restaurant & snack) at upper section of Hapgang kyo :

The water flows very fast within this area. . Fishing the course between water barrier to Naerincheon kyegok(valley) is most productive. It is not easy to cast and retrieve the lures due to the fast current. Much heavier jigheads are better on such fast rapids. Fly fishing is much easier and effective. You would be able to hit some big wild trouts if you are lucky.

Hapgang kyo :

There are a variety of fishing spots, within this area, like riffles, pools, rapids. You can still fish some big Sogari there. In  the summer, you may meet almost all kinds of fishers in the center of stream. Fly fishing within this area is particularly productive. The main species are Pirami and Galkyeoni that bite your flies continuously and, sometimes some big wild trouts would inscribe on you an unforgettable memory.

Norumok sanjang (pavillon) :

In front of the pavillon, the water makes riffles and you can fish Pirami and galkyeoni as many as you wish. There are many bait fishers on the water but fly fishing is most effective method within this area.

Pi ah si kyegok (valley) :

Naerincheon(stream) that rises from Eungbong san(mountain) in Hongcheon gun and Bangtaecheon(stream) that rises from Jeombong san(mountain) meet and flow together under Deokdari(bridge) at Hyun 5 ri and people call the stream Soyang gang(river).after the confluence. The river runs through so-called Naerincheon valley to Hap gang in Inje. Pi ah si valley is the name of  the valley within Gosari area. ( 'Gosari' is the name of the village near 'Pi ah si valley' on the map).

Many beautiful forests and plane rockes suitable for family excursions and camping are spread widely along the valley. Total resource of fish is decreased  visibly but you can still hit lots of big Sogari and Keokji etc.. Good spots for fly fishing are pelnty on all crooks of the stream. Lots of Pirami and Galkyeoni will be hoisted on your flies and you can hit the wild trouts often. Moreover, habitants say that Yeolmok eo , beautiful  big fish, began to come up recently. ...//
