YeongGang (River)     JeomCheon      

It is known as good fishing spot of Keokji. If you send several fly castings on this river, you can catch quite big Keokji, and many. To approach to the shore of Yeong gang, don't get into Munkyeong city and go straight towards Jeomchon. You will find Yeong gang under the Jin nam bridge (PHOTO) that you reach in a few minutes.
From Jin nam bridge to Yeongsun myeon Sangju si, you will meet many good fishing spots for Keokji and Soragi, where lure and fly fishers enjoy together. Under Jin nam kyo (bridge), you wouldl catch many cute and colorful Galkeyoni by fly castings. Since the

road follows for most interval of the river, it is easy to approach to the shore and move the car along the river. There are really plenty of Keokji and some Sogari. It takes about 3 and half hours by car from Seoul.

ByeongSeongCheon (Stream)  & NakDanKyo (Bridge)      
SangJu

This stream rises from Namgok ri Euncheok myeon Snagju si and it becomes rich enough to nourish many species around Sangju si. Until it meets the main stream of Nakdong gang that is one of the bieggest rivers in Korea, it provides plenty of good fishing spots for lure and fly fishers to catch Sogari, Keokji, Pirami etc.. Along the stream, you can find many beautiful places under forests good for camping. The main species is Keokji. Sogari is relatively scarce. Fly fishers who carry the rods of  2 to 3

weight will enjoy fantastic thrills and reaction through the rods from Galkeoni and Pirami without a break.  It is not so easy to drive car along the narrow bank on the shore. It takes about 4 hours by car from Seoul.

NongAmCheon  (Stream)      GuRangRi, MunKyeong City  

Nong am cheon is the clean and beautiful stream at upperstream of Yeong gang. The stream is wide and shallow, composed with gravel shoals and riffles. In the summer, this Gurang ri area becomes public pleasure ground that disturbs fishing. Nevertheless, the good fishing spots is in the center of pleasure ground. You can continue fishing, moving along the forest path that goes parallel with the stream. The main species is Keokji and Sogari often meets you. Sometimes you would catch trouts escaped from Manji trouts fishery located at upperstream. Fly fishng is very productive in this stream.

You can drive car near the pier of the railway bridge. it takes about four hours by car from Seoul..

WuiCheon (Stream)        GunWi      

The main species of Wi cheon is Keokji. It is a stream that flows around Kunwi located between Daegu and Euiseong. The provincial road no. 920 follows Wi cheon for long interval that begins from Gunwi elementary school located in the north of Kunwi eup and finishes at its junction with Sang gye cheon after Sang kye elementary school.  This road make it easy to approach to the stream. Water quality of the stream is not so clear because it is quite long and passes by many hamlets but, such a slight mixture with waste water would rather increase the nourishment of fish. As a result, the stream is

fertile. There are many spots good for fly fishing. There are many beautiful and cozy places under forests along the shore, good for camping. It takes about four hours by car from Seoul.

ImCheonGang (River)      HamYangEup      

This river is one of the branches at upperstream of Kyeongho gang. The main species of this fishing spot is Keokji. The water is cool because it comes from the deep valleys of great Jiri san. The river runs over 30 km. It shows good fishing results after heavy rain. You had better prepare a lot of spinners for lure fishing because you would lose many ones in the torrents, rapids, rocky areas etc. in this river. Around Janghang maeul(village) located at lower section, there are many good fishing spots for Keokji, and Jigok maeul is also good. This river provides many beautiful forests at the river that are good for camping. It takes about four and half hours by car from Seoul.

KyeongHoGang (River)    SanChongEup      

This river runs from Sanchong to Jinyang ho(lake). The main species of this fishing spot are Sograi and Keokji. It is more fertile after rain because Sogari and many other species migrate to upper stream from Jinyang ho. The scenic beauty was ruined partialy by the express way constructed recently along the river  but the river running by the north foot of great Jiri san still has the beautiful surrounding. The fishing spots on this river are extremely varied and they provide wonderful conditions for lure and fly fishing. In the summer, some rafting clubs would disturb fishing but the traffic is not terrible.

The road runs along the river very closely in most of course of river enabling anglers approach easily. About five hours'  drive from Seoul.

DeokCheonGang (River)    SamJangMyeon, SanCheongGun      

The main species of lure fishing on this river is Keokji. But many other species are caught by fly fishing. It is the river that rises from the Daewonsa kyegok(valley) and Jungsan ri kyegok(valley) to irrigate Jinyang ho(lake). In the summer, it is almost impossible to fish beside the crowded tents. Therefore, fishing should be done at dawn or in the dusk.  Nevertheless, this river is so fertile that you can catch some Keokji even in fishing for short time. If you are a lucky angler, you can catch Sogari, as well. There are many good places for fly casting, too.

The scenery is excellent by the surrounding on the south west of great Jiri san. It takes about five hours by car from Seoul.

MilYangGang (River)     MilYang City       

Milyang gang begins its run from the watergate of Wunmun ho(lake) and passes through Cheongdo gun and Milyang , meeting Nakdong gang at Samrangjin. This river has been very famous for Euneo fishing but no more Euneo is found in this river due to many barriers that block Euneo to migrate up. In the north of Milyang, Sogari and Keokji are caught a lot by lure fishing. At the lower section of Milyang, bass fishing is good around Mansan, Pearly shell farm, Osan swamp, Hanrim canal and in many other irrigating canals. The population of bass in this area is increasing so visibly that it assembles

more bassers from Kyeongsang do and Busan, etc.. It takes about five hours by car from Seoul.

Bass Points on MilYangGang (river)

The first bass escaped from a farm in Wondong in 1992 has been increasing their population very speedily, spread on all the canals of the basins of Nakdong gang as well as Milyang gang, Bass fishing today is very good everywhere on the main channel of the river Nakdong gang like in Gwang tang, Pyeong chon, Sam rang jin cheol kyo (railway bridge Sam rang jin), Susan daekyo (grand bridge) and also on the various canals like Osan jinju jokae yangsik jang (Osan pearly shell farm), Osan suro(canal), Hanrim suro, Sisan suro, Osan neup(swamp), Hanrim neup etc. .Even on the river that flows through

the center of the city Milyang, there are good Bass points like Yongdumok yuwonji (Pleasant ground), Baeksong(White pine) which produce lots of big bass. To Osan pearly shell farm, it takes about 6 hours by car from Seoul.

DongChangCheon (Stream)      MilYang City, CheongDo Eup     

This is upper stream of Milyang gang. They call Milyang gang that flows to Cheongdo via Yucheon railway station as [Cheongdo cheon]. The river flowing through Cheongdo is polluted by waste water. But Lure fishing and fly fishing are available between Milyang and Yucheon, where the main species are Keokji, Sogari, Megui, Baemjang eo, etc.. The recommended fishing spots are Yongdumok amusement park, Hwalseong kyo(bridge), Baeksong, Binjiso and so on. It is a river that is relatively easy for anglers to approch to the shore. It takes about four and half hours by car from Seoul.

HwaGaeMyeon, HaDongGun      

This rapids is located at lower section of Seomjin gang, near the junction with Hwaguae cheon that flows into from Sangkye sa. When the water level is high at this spot, the pool on  the rapids is very good spot for Euneo and carps. Meanwhile, the rapids is very good spot for Sogari in the beginning of draft season. Accomodation and food supply are available from Hwaguae maeul(village) and Jangteo(market) not far from fishing spot. Hwaguae cheon, branch that flows from Sangkye sa is worth of spending a while for

Keokji fishing, as well. The population of Keokji there is never trivia. It takes about five hours by car from Seoul.

MyeongHoCheon  (Stream)     MyeongHoMyeon, BongHwaGun      

It has been famous as Euneo fishing spot for these several years. Myeongho cheon is a beautiful stream that flows through Bonghwa and Myeongho ri Myeongho myeon surrounded by beautiful mountains Cheongryang san, to irrigate Andong ho(lake) finally. In the summer, there are so many good camping sites along the stream that fishing is a little bit disturbed by the campers. But this stream is wide and deep enough to keep far from them when you enjoy fishing. This stream provides many excellnt fishing spots to lure and fly fishers. The main species are Sogari, Keokji, Galkyeoni, Pirami, etc..

This stream is very fertile. The recommended spots for fly fishers are located between the entrance of Cheong ryang san and Gasong hyeup(narrow valley) at lower stretch where you can find Gosan jeong ( Korean traditional pavilion where Twekye, famous philosopher in the epoch of Choseon kingdom, teached students) on the beautiful shore. It takes about four hours by car from Seoul.

AnDongHo (Lake)      AnDong City      

Many branches that flow into Andong ho(lake) are abundant in the species like bass, Keuri, Gangjunchi, Galkyeoni, Pirami and many other species caught by bait fishing as well. On the lake, bass fishing on the boat is very famous. There is a bass tournemant regularly held on Andong ho. Fly and lure fishers do not come back home with 'no fish' in any branches at upper stream. For example, the clear rapids under Jinbo kyo(bridge) is a wonderful fishing spot for lure and fly fishers, where you can catch plenty of big Keuri and Gangjunchi powerful enough to give you an exciting thrills through the top of rods. It takes about four hours by car from Seoul.

JinBoMyeon CheongSongGun     

This fishing spot was found a few years ago as one of the best fishery of Sogari by lure fishing. Sogari migrating up for spawning are usually schooling at the piers of Jichon kyo as well as rocky area near the shore. You can strike many Sogari if you cast over the big pool made by rocky area at upper part of the river. In this area, Plastic worms are more effective than spoon lures and Sogari are eating heavily around dawn. If you pass over the bridge and go along to the right unpaved lane, you will find a pumping house . Around the house, Many Sogari eat very heavily, too. It takes about four and half hours by car from Seoul.

These fishing spots are located at lower stretch of Banbyeon cheon and irrigate soon Imha ho within a few kilimeters. On the way to go Jinbo from Andong city, turn to the right immediately after passing over Jinbo kyo(bridgr). Taking ramp to the shore, you can park the car on the parking below the bridge. Thers is a big pool at upper stream below the bridge, where you can catch big Keokji on several fly castings. Lower section below the bridge is rapids and you can wade most area. There are many big Keuri to catch on a few castings of lure or fly fishing.

Camping sites are good below the bridge and opposite lawn to the shore. The food supply is easy from snack restaurants. It takes about four and half hours by car from Seoul. Scenic beauty is notable.

HapGangRi   on Upper Stretch of  ImHaHo (Lake)        
JinBoMyeon CheongSongGun      

These fishing spots are about 2 km lower from Jinbo kyo(bridge). It is a stream flows in front of [Cheongsong gwan gwang nongwon] (resort farm). On the way from andong city to Jinbo, turn to the right at opposite of SK oil stand. When you go up small pass, you can see, on your lef,t, the stream flowing down in the valley. You can access to the gravel shore through the lane in front of the resort farm. The stream has pools, rapids, slow runs, riffles and so on. The species are Keokji, Gangjunchi, Galkyeoni, Pirami, etc.

The stream is very fertile. Fly anglers will catch many fish there, using spiders, caddis, etc.. It takes about four and half hours by car from Seoul.

BanByeonCheon (Stream)      IpAmMyeon, YeongYangGun     

In the past, Banbyeoncheon was very famous for Sogari fishing but the present main species is Koekji. Sogari is scarce. This stream runs about 10 km from the north of Yeongyang gun to Jinbo myeon Cheongsong gun. On the way, the stream flows through many beautiful scenery, monuments, pagodas as well as ruines. In the stream, there are many rocky areas where big Keokji lurk. Lucky anglers would catch sometimes Sogari. Beautiful and solitary camping sites are waiting anglers. The road goes along the stream for the most course, making easy anglers' approch to any spots. It takes about five and half hours by car form Seoul.
