 It is a commercial fishing spot in an impoundment that is about 300,000 square meters wide, located at Seokmo do (island). The fishing license is 10,000 won. Two thirds of the dike is fishing spot. This impoundment is good for beginners of bass fishing because moving for fishing is easy and they can usually catch bass without fail due to dense population. Bassers catch a lot of bass. You should go to the island by car ferry from Ganghwa do at Wepo ri. First ferry leaves at 7 a.m. and last one leaves at 8 : 30 p.m...  It takes about three hours by car from Seoul, including ferry

 The fare of car ferry for Seokmo do (island) is 12,600 won. 12,000 won for a car and 600 won for a passenger. A roundtrip ticket costs 15,200 won.  And it takes about 5 minutes.

In three impoundments on Seokmo do, named as Hangpo ji, Eoyujeong ji and Hari ji, there are plenty of bass, what is more, lunkers mostly !

On  hang po ji, you would surely hook lunker bass, real fierce fighters, especially, it is not much crowded.

Hangpo ji is an impoundment on the reclaimed land whose water surface is totally about 100,000 pyeong (about 82 acres) and, the dike covering more than 2/3 of all the shore provides lots of good spots.

Along the dike, all the bottom around the water surface that is covered with rock piles and obstructions are nice spots. Moreover, moving around freely on the dike, the whole surface provides best environment that seduces many beginners of bass fishing.

How to get there :

Landing on Seokmo do, turn to the right to take the direction toward Seokpo ri. Going forward for a while, you will find a forked street where you turn to the left again and go ahead, for a while again, crossing the field. At the end of your drive, Hangpoji comes in sight. ...//
