Gulam ri, Gangcheon myeon, Yeoju gun
Bass, Sogari, Keuri, Pirami, etc. ...
It is a saet gang (by-channel) of Namhan gang (river) made around Gulam ri. You can usually find many bass in this bayou after heavy rainy season, overflowed from the main stream. The width is about 100m and lenth is about 2km and it looks like a big impoundment. Since the lake is surrounded by gravels, parking and camping beside fishing spots are available. Fly fishing at the junction with Cheong mi cheon is good. But the center of shoal is fast rapid that is dangerous to approach. The species is of big variety. It takes about one and half hours by car from Seoul.
There are lots of fishing spots and camping grounds around the by-channel. Southern shore is covered with gravels and sand but the water is so deep as 5 ~ 6 m that you should beware of missing your step. By the rock at the skirt of mountain, it is good for bait fishing and better for lure and fly fishing. The main species are Bung eo (prussian carp) and Ing eo (carp) but other ones like bass, Sogari, Keuri, Megui also come up well. The river bank of by-channel is about 300 m long.
Fly fishing on Hapsumeuri (junction ) with Cheong mi cheon (stream) would make you catch lots of Pirami, Keuri and sometimes Nuchi.
