Almost all species

It is a big lake surrounding Chuncheon city. There are so many species and fish that almost all kinds of anglers repute it as one of the best fishing spots in Korea.
For example, Gotan ri and Inram ri are famous for many Pirami and Keuri. Lure fishing for Keuri in Gotan ri is good for all seasons.
For fly fishers, boating is usual. This lake provides lots of good spots almost all the seasons until it gets frozen in last ten days of December. In winter, ice fishing on this lake is fantastic as well. There are many lodges, restaurants, food supplies and useful facilities at each spot. It is located within 3 hours' drive from Seoul. Palgak jeong (octagonal bower) :

The facilities for tourists are well equipped. The scenery of this spot surrounding the lake is so beautiful that many tourists are visiting  in any season.  The good points for Keuri and Pirami are around the stone embankment southward from the ledged ridge and on the shore of north bank. The left back of  Palgak jeong provides a space for five or six fishers to cast on the shore. That is a good spot of Keuri. Lots of Keuri come up there. People usually fish Pirami and Keuri by local rigs named "Dokaebi chaebi"  or lure fishing but fly fishing on the bank is much more productive. Another good spot for Keuri is around the wide cape on the left of Palgak jeong.

Inram ri :

 This area has many places of deep water due to the relatively fast slope on the shore. At the end of the lane on the mountain, you will find a spot at the skirts of the mountain. You can not reach the spot in front of the deer farm without four wheel droven cars, if not, on foot. The camping ground  is good in front of the farm. Fishing this spot gets better in drought season. Fly castings should be done on the bank.

Owol ri :

You will find a snack house, who manages the seats for fishing, on the way to drive cemented road after you pass over Owol kyo.  This spot is also famous for Pirami and keuri. Fly casting should be done on the bank here too.

Won pyeong ri :

This site is the most beautiful in rural scenery with stillness on Chun cheon ho (lake). The water level is so stable and abundant that lots of Pirami and Keuri live. The effluent that flows below the road on the right before the snack house "Wonpyeong sang hwe" is the best spot in this region. Lure fishers who may throw casts to opposite side over the weedy area catch lots of lunker Keuri and Jumbo Pirami. Upper section of main channel northward is very good points of Keuri too. Try to hit the deeper waters between sandy shore and gravel areas for better bites. There are homestays who supply meals and lodging.

Gotan ri :

It is reputed as the best spot for Keuri and Pirami fishing on Chuncheon ho. This spot looks like a cove on the right of the dam, The points are so vast that quite many people can fish at a time. In front of the homestay house beside Seon wu nong jang (farm), you will find a very famous spot for Pirami. Opposit to this region, you have a lane along the declining shore of the water on a ridge. Due to the bush along the lane, fly csting is unavailable. Instead, you can pick up occasional lunker Keuri on lure fishing. I have hoisted  several jumbos exceeding 40 cm there. Fly fishers can find the bank for casts around Inram ri ferry. Or, they can rent a boat from Homestay house for boat castings. Fishing this spot is good until the freezing season in last ten days of December. This lake including this spot remain as good spot of ice fishing on the frozen surface in winter. ...//
