he right for going up a mountain trail really hard to go up, for about 3.5 km to reach the ferry 'Manjidong' at the lowest crook of Dong gang. This mountain path is really hard for the passenger cars. On the lope to downward, there is a fast slope over than 40 degree on a rugged lane in the shape of 'z', the hardest area to pass.
In the past, this moountain trail was the only way to enter to Eorayeon on road, another way by boat. Now, there is a flying bridge crossing over the lowest part of Dong gang , at Majidong', to make you easy to access to Keowun ri.
You can reach Keowun ri where two or three homestays and stores are found, after about 2 km of rough road. To continue for Eorayeon, you'd walk to home of 'Lee hae su' , boatman of ferry to Eorayeon (fishing in Eorayeon : please refer the page ' Eorayeon' )
Munsan naru (ferry) :
There is a forked way on top of the mountain on the way to entering to Eorayeon : the right lane will lead you to Eorayeon and , the left lane will lead you to Munsan naru (ferry) on the upper part of Eorayeon. The slope of the mountain is not so fast but the road condition is severe for the car and passengers until you reach Munsan ferry in about 1.5 km from the top of the mountain. Around the ferry, you have a river bank hard to move and covered with rocks on the slope. The river around there is, nevertheless, fertile for fishers. Lure castings on the riverbank bring you joy of hoisting some smallie Keokji and Sogari, sometimes. Lots of Galkyeoni come up on flies without pause. There are wild trouts. The scenic surroundings are touching. really touching.
Wunchi ri (village)::
Wunchiri cannot be reached via Samok ri, Keowun ri. You have to drop down the river from Joyang gang, or take a detour toward Sindong. Taking the direction via Joyang gang, you will find a small school 'Gasu bunkyo' , branch of Yemi elementary school. In this hamlet, there was not a well - equipped store for food supply that visitors bought all the necessaies at jeongseon, a few years ago. Now, this small town is under 'construction like the era of 'Gold rush' in U.S.A.. The town is completely covered with stores, homestays, rafting service companies, placards etc.. And the secluded hamlet is now crowded with the people in colored attire for resort and sports.
Passing by the school, a forked point comes in sight in about 5 km downward. It is hamlet Beonpyeong. Leave the entrance to the hamlet and go straight way following the river for about 1.3 km. There is another forked street and one way is for Wunch bunkyo, another small branch school. Go up straight a hill for about 3 km until you reach Naritjae (pass) on top of the mountain where the road ends. On the top of the pass, you will see a pamoramic view of Naritjae on Dong gang where lots of rafting boats pass frewuently in summer holiday season.
Fishing spots are spread within about 1 km from the forked street near Wunchi bunkyo to upward the river, tranguil and productive. Fly fishing is most effective.Sometimes, you would hook some fierce wild trouts. Galkyeoni usually come up many in all the spots on dong gang and, this spot is not exception, either. The spots for lure fishing is relatively limited because there is a repetition of shallows, riffles, runs and narrow torrents on the river within this area, surrounded with utmost harmony of natural beauty.(Refer the page "Joyang gang')
Jintan naru (ferry) :
It is a ferry on Dong gang, located between Wunchi ri and Munsan naru. The entrance is differ from other spots on Dong gang. You have to drop down the stream 'Kihwa cheon' that irrigates finally dong gang. At its lowest stretch, a ferry is found, called 'Jintan naru (ferry)' that ia inable to be reached by the passenger cars but only four wheel drivers.
It is a little far to walk from the road end for passenger cars to the ferry, but as you are fishers, you can wade Kihwacheon, fishing wild trouts on the way. Wading alone this course is not recommended because this area is secluded, remoted, isolated. Therefore, being accompanied with friends is happy. Lower part of Kihwa cheon is so intact that you can hoist wild trouts often. Dong gang at Jintan naru (ferry) is very fertile because this area remained relatively untouched by the many anglers due to the hard access. At lower part of the ferry, Lots of Koekji come up on lures (spinners), and sogari sometimes that ares not habitants on Kihwa cheon. A little downward on dong gang, you will meet again the real wild trout of Dong gang, borm in Dong gang.
