It is located at upper stream of Gagok cheon. The main species are Sancheoneo..  Recently, it became Commercial fishing spot that you should pay for fishing. Minimum fee for fishing permit is 20,000 wond for one month. You can see that many Sancheoneo are swimming slowly at every crooks of streams, in pools, riffles, rapids and so on. Parking and homestay are available. It takes aprox. 5 and half hours by car from Seoul.  Trip by train is also available and recommended.(PHOTO : Jikso in Deokpung kyegok)

Deokpung kyegok (valley) is one of the remotest provinces of the country, famous with deep forest, clear water, cascades etc..It is one of the three last refuges 'pung' (Pung gok, Sam bang. Deokpung) that prophet Tojeong Lee ji ham fortold. In such a deep and beautiful valley, a Guaranteed fly fishing place specialized in Sancheneo was opened on April of 1999.

Even though it is a commercial fishing place, the style is different from other fishing places of fisheries or comercial impoundments. Namely, it is a commercial fishing places made in the natural valley. The entrance fee is not paid per day but per membership basis. There are several kinds of payment for membership like 20,000 won for one month, 50,000 won for one year,  100,000 won for three years etc. In additon to the membership, 5,000 won should be paid, for parking and cleaning on each entrance

The Fishing spots begin from Seong hwang kyo that is located at lower section of the valley and found around Jikso. Saebiri overpass, Beorit kyo, Buchubat kyo and so on, unfolding within about 4.5 km.

You can enjoy only fly fishing and Denkara fishing (Japanese traditonal fly fishing) only.
