Daegang myeon, Namwon gun

Daegang myeon is located at the upper stream of Seomjin gang. The river before Daegang myeon is called as 'Jeokseong gang', and the course before Jeokseong gang is called as 'Owon cheon'. Daegang myeon is one of the best fishing spots for plenty of Sogari after heavy rain. On the way from Namwon toward Gokseong, you will find a checkpoint on the forked road. Turn to the right for the direction of 'Sunchang' and you will find imediately the river on your left. This fishing spot has many rocky areas in the river, good place to hide for Sogari. You can catch many Megui, too. In the past, it was very famous for Euneo(sweet smelt) fishing. There are big pine forests along the river, nice places for camping. It takes about four hours by car from Seoul.
